PASTIE MAKING
During the depression, the women of the church began to make pasties to sell to the community to help meet church expenses. This activity has become a church tradition and has grown over the years to become part of Ely's heritage. It and similar activities have enabled the Church to remain a stable part of the Ely community. Pasties are produced on the 3rd Tuesday of six months during the year, October, November, January, February, March and April.
